Paul has been nominated for the U.S. Olympic Spirit Award. Votes will be accepted from August 30, 2004 through September 13, 2004 and can be submitted online from a link at USOlympicTeam

Note: Usualy I would post important news to allow my viewers to stay up to date, however, I personaly feel that Paul has enough reminders surrounding him about the controversy. I will refrain from posting details about what is going on until things have been settled, pending the outcome. August 25, 2004:
Paul Hamm will make an appearence tonight on the David Letterman show to talk about his Olympic experience at the 2004 games.

August 24, 2004:
The gymnastics gala took place today. An event where the gymnastics metalests perform without judges and take their final bow to the audience before heading home to prepare for another season. Paul Hamm took his final bow on the high bar.

August 23, 2004:
Today Paul came in 7th on the parallel bars and took the silver on the highbar. His brother Morgan came in 4th on the highbar. Carly Patterson took silver on the balance beam leaving Courtney Kupets behind in 5th place. Mohini Bhardwaj came in 6th on the floor exercise. Today is the last day for gymnastics competition in the 2004 Olympic games.

August 22, 2004:
Paul competed in the mens floor exercise and pommel hourse finals. He placed 5TH on the floor and 6 on the pommel hourse. Annia Hatch of USA took silver in the womens Vault final. On the uneven bars Terin Humphrey os USA took silver and Courtney Kupets took bronze.

August 19, 2004:
I'm sensing a pattern. Today Carly Patterson took Gold in the womens all-around becoming the first women to do so since Mary Lou Retton!

August 18, 2004:
A big day for USA. American gymnast Paul Hamm became the first American man to take the Gold in the mens all-around today! The last metal won by an American was a silver won by Peter Vidmar in the 1984 games.

August 17, 2004:
The women's USA gymnastics team reflects the mens final standing in yesterdays finals by taking home the silver.

August 16, 2004:
The men's USA gymnastics team caps the night by taking home the silver in the team finals.

August 15, 2004:
The women's USA gymnastics team begins their team qualifications today.

August 14, 2004:
The men's USA gymnastics team cicks off day two with ups and downs in the team qualifications but ends in a good postition to go on and compete in the team finals on Monday.

August 13, 2004:
The 2004 Olympic games cick off the Opening Ceremony in Athens Greece tonight!
