HILTON SKATING AND GYMNASTICS SPECTACULAR

Their sports may compete in separate Olympic games, but America's top gymnasts and skaters will team up on the ice Wednesday at Gwinnett Arena. The performance will be taped and shown Jan. 22 on NBC, so figure skater Brian Boitano promises the audience will get to see not only breathtaking tricks but what it takes to make a TV show — including the mess-ups.

"All their apparatus is on the ice," said Boitano, who will perform with 2004 Olympics gold medalist gymnast Paul Hamm.

"I'll have to skate around it. . . . There will be some retakes."
